SAW Home Improvement in Chicopee is owned and operated by Stanley A. Wojtkielo, a 30+ year Chicopee resident and licensed contractor in the state of Massachusetts. Born in Poland, Stan’s passion for woodworking began when he was a young boy, watching craftsmen make wood furniture by hand in their workshops. With no power tools at their disposal, the Polish craftsmen did everything with hand tools, paying close attention to detail at each turn of their craft.
That was a memory that stuck with Stan, influencing his work ethic today. Stan prides himself on attention to detail in each project he takes on—from remodeling kitchens and bathrooms to building decks and sheds. Fluent in Polish, Stan spent 30 years in corporate America, working as a part-time finish carpenter all the while. Always available to help a friend or family member with a home improvement project, Stan dabbled in the work that fueled his passion until 2005, when he decided to leave the corporate world to pursue his passion full time—and he has never looked back.
